Hello Brightness My Old Friend

Bomb Boutique · Bright Darkness Bombcast November 2023

I Hate the 20s!!!

Yes I do! I remember how many club owners and promoters fancied the 2020s to become as fabulous as the 1920s (what they weren't). It came different and every year it gets worse. Society is fucked up, freedom in danger and we're at the brink of a senseless war. I absolutely understand people getting stunned at the club. Nevertheless, that's why I got tired posting mixes or related stuff. Tough times. But anyway, I collected a few tunes from 2020-22 to channel my anger. Here you go:

Isolation....

I guess this year has been the weirdest for all of us. I feel sorry for lots of people who lost jobs, health, sanity. However, I spent a lot of cash for records during the year. Since I couldn't go to concerts or clubs, I invested in more in hardware. Ths included some upgrades to my soundsystem at home. Here's the first mix I made with it during my self-isolation...

Alle Gegen Alle

I wasn't much inspired the past motnhs posting new mixes. During this time I had the feeling both, the real world and the safe harbour - the club world were going crazy. Things changed drastically in so many ways and it is not over. At least I found my peace with club life. Luckily I live in Berlin and it is indeed still a safe harbour. Hoping it will stay like this, I was going through a bunch of older and new vinyls and hit the record button through this bumpy session. Enjoy:

Sorry for being lazy the past weeks. I recorded a bunch of Bombcasts with classic stuff that are available from my Mixcloud profile, but didn't find the way here. For the January Bombcast, I have basically selected digital promos that popped in the past weeks. So it's no viny mix. Quite deep, dark stuff that I like. Dig and download it here:

Maysacre

Coincidence, the day I started recording the new Bombcast, Jeff Hanneman's death was ticking through all news channels. And I suddenly felt more like putting a mix of my favorite Hanneman compositions together. Maybe another gime, because there was a bunch of new vinyls on the floor waiting to be played. So, here's the May Bombcast. The downloadable Soundcloud version had to be edited a bit in the beginning, the full version is available on Mixcloud.
