Hello Brightness My Old Friend

Bomb Boutique · Bright Darkness Bombcast November 2023

News from the Front

Been a while since I added some news in here. Not much to tell, but here's a compilation I recently digged. If you've ever been able to visit Hamburgs notorious (gay) club Front, you should spend some €€€ here. Amazingly compiled Mix CD (seperate tracks on two vinyl editions) by Klaus Stockhausen and Boris Dlugosch. I haven't bought a Club CD for a while since I own or know most of the tracks. But here's some real gems from a bunch of artists I haven't heard of yet or almost forgot about, reminding me of the Horse Meat Disco series, but more housey. Some pure Disco/House pleasure reminding me of times, when people just danced crazy and not hopping from one foot to another, facing the DJ for a whole night. Plus touching liner notes and really intimate photo coverage. My legacy compilation of the year.

Synth Sunday

Exhausted from clubbing weekend? I give you an extra. In the mood for some kinky Synth tunes, I put some old and new vinyls together for this mix. A bit shaky as some tunes we're hand played and not beatboxed. Dig in here:

Pianos Made Me Hardcore

House Music is back. Not only since the return of the grand piano to many tracks. But when Robort Owens appeared in plenty of songs from various artists recently, it was for sure: Jack is back! He looks a bit different, younger, fresher, louder - but with all the sexyness that we loved. So, the July Mix is quite housey and I'm sure there's more to come in the future. Get it here:

Worshipping Satan Through Disco

Strange headline? Nah, you peeps know me. I was inspired by a party we're planning against the Pope's visit in Berlin late September. And as music like Disco carries a hedonistic message, it must be the devil's work, if I take those Christians serious. Anyway, I wanted to record a bangin' Electro Bombcast as there are a bunch of DJ Gigs comin' up, where I'll play some heavy Rave shit. But I was in the mood for Disco and goin' through some old and new releases.... well ... and I pushed the record button. Enjoy!

Crying In The Discotheque

Just a few days after Kurt "Supermax" Hauenstein left the earthly dancefloor, Loleatta Holloway, the voice of all House and Disco Diva voices sadly passed away 21st March 2011.
Here she is in one of my all time favorite songs, her own way:
