The Night Starts Here #13

The magic 13 - and we have Strip Steve in the house! I've always liked his releases on Boys Noize and he recently released his quite cool debut "Mirco Mega" with some quite diverse tracks and songs, plus two of my favorites as guests - Robert Owens and Puro Instinct! He will be supported by Ante Perry, who's been releasing a couple of cool Disco shits via Moonbootique. Watch The Night Starts Here live, 27/7, 21cest on tape.tv!

The Night Starts Here #12

Four episodes in a row, so this week sees the 12th edition of our little DJ TV-show The Night Starts Here on tape.tv. We invited an "veteran" of the Berlin Electro culture, K-Paul of Lexy & K-Paul fame. He's been around for some many years and is an awesome DJ. From a younger generation comes Ralf Kollmann, who operates one of my favorite House labels these days, Mobilee Records. So, two generations of Berlin clublife in the house, what a pleasure. Friday, 20/7, 21cest live on tape.tv.

The Night Starts Here #9

Kris Menace is our man this week, who's been slightly undiscovered here, although he's native German, but gained success via France all over the world, not only since his Überhit "Discopolis" in coop with Lifelike. Remixing Depeche Mode or Booka Shade was a nice plus in his career and he's still a highly requested DJ and remixer. He joins our man from Essen - Hotel Shanghai roots, Langeberg, whose home is Mild Pitch records, where he's been releasing some soulful beats for a while. TNSH #9 is going to be interesting with a slight contrast. We can't wait. 25.5., 21 cest live on tape.tv!

With these hands I've crushed the dreams of every man...

Jesus, I pretty much like Michael J. Sheehy, not even since Dream City Film Club, but most since his release "Ghost On The Motorway". If you like it deep, spritual, raw and dirty, you will dig him! His recent release "With These Hands" on Glitterhouse Records, proves himself again to be an amazing story teller, composer and vocalist. It's an album about boxer Francis Delaney, a tragic figure struggeling with promoters, boxers, hookers, gangsters in a raw Blues meets Gospel and Country from hell outfit.
No question, Michael J. Sheehy is a great live act too and currently tours with his band, The Hired Mourners. You should definetly catch him at your local pit for some exercise!
